As much for his heroic ambitions as for his intriguing visual complexity, Pekka Paikkari’s opus dominates Finnish ceramic creation. And for good reason, because whether by looking at his powerful wall panels or his sculptures encamped in the remains of an incomprehensible industry, we do not escape the lucidity, the relevance of the civilizational questions that irrigate and unify all the work of the artist.
