Claude Champy, Bernard Dejonghe
Close friends since their young years studying together in the workshops of the Métiers d’Art school in Paris, these are, by far, the two French ceramists who have traced the most singular paths; Claude as a potter with splendid developments, Bernard as a material sculptor of astonishing technicality. As they turn eighty, each has reached this great liberating maturity which allows the artist to get rid of his former doubts, and even to bravely exhibit, as if they were titles of nobility, all the scars of the path traveled. Rarely exhibited together, here is a unique opportunity to judge for yourself the immensity of two opuses which have forever marked world ceramic creation.
