Alicia Rochina shares her life and much of her ceramic history with Catalan companion, Pep Gomez, but luckily a shared bed still allows a girl to do as she likes in the studio! Thus, the pots of the one can in no way be confused with those of the other. Totally allergic to all that is repetitive or rote, Alicia tackles the decoration of her stoneware bowls and plates with a sense of unfettered freedom. With every pot being treated like an individual canvas, its field of energetic brush strokes is laid out with the absolute minimum of pre-ordained organization. The result is a family of decors just like children illustrating the common lineage.
