Pascal often places the two facets of his ceramic world in striking contrast.

Since the construction of his superb anagama in the foothills of the Larzac Mountains, his pots have evolved into a true creative embrace with fire. On one side, his yakishimi, with their experience near the fire pit to forge their chiseled garments, and on the other, his sublime shinos, of incomparable depth and silkiness, which unashamedly rival the creations of certain Japanese masters.
