The long career of Enric Mestre, by its rigor and consistency, demonstrates a rare example. The artist is the undisputed herald of Spanish geometric abstraction made ceramic. It is a singular furrow hailed in Spain by an abundant and erudite literature while in France he remains, for whoever finds himself outside the specifically ceramic milieu, a little-known artist. However, his work is vast and includes a number of masterpieces produced over more than thirty-five years.
