Jeanne OPGENHAFFEN

Jeanne Opgenhaffen is one of the most important Belgian artistes working in ceramics and, at an international level, she is one of Belgium best known cultural ambassadors. Working alone in her tiny studio just south of Antwerp, she composes majestic panels of wafer-thin coloured porcelain leaves. Sometimes evoking fragmentary visions of landscapes or seascapes, sometimes pure formal inventions, conjuring up the agitation of wind-whipped water, or inviting us to contemplation before an unearthly spread of frozen flowers.

These works are rare. Because of international demand we are lucky to be allowed four panels every year.
