The British sculptor Emma Rodgers seems to have an innate talent for capturing the world in motion, for imparting an invigorating energy to any sculpture, however resolutely frozen. Under her hands the real dresses in the unreal and sets in motion. Thus her animal sculptures are anything but motionless. Her hares box, her horses run and her macaques patrol. Their dynamism fills the space, as happy to run on the walls as to leap from a pedestal
