Having spent much of her professional life in the silks of Lyon where she worked as a designer, it is hardly surprising that the exquisite surfaces of Chantal’s jars strongly remind us of all the flamboyance of traditional chintzes or, when she wants to change air, the centuries-old West African traditions of indigo dyeing.
